    • Modulator/Demodulator

    The modulator/demodulator located on a shelf above the power supply is used to accept sonobuoy information from any one of the sonobuoy receivers and transmits the information over HF or UHF. The modulator/demodulator power is controlled from the sonobuoy receiver control panel and switch marked “MD 5040/ON” and the selector switch marked “RELAY/OFF/HF/UHF”.
