External ICS

CAUTION

Connecting a helmet or headset directly to the external ICS, or using a normal ICS extension cord, could result in damage to the co-pilot ICS, such that proper keying using the external ICS will not occur.

External ICS is provided by an external connector located inside a panel on the right side of the helicopter adjacent to the heater exhaust. It is also controlled by the co-pilot’s ICS control panel. When a microphone/head-set is connected to the external ICS, the co-pilot’s ICS position automatically goes to HOT mike operation.
