  • Interactive Display Format Complete

The format for displaying pages for the Interactive Display has been completed as described in Reorganized Pages.

Please review this format by looking at the following pages. To see how the format is applied to the ASN-123C system see:

The same pages are used to populate the more complete equipment descriptions at ASN-123C Tactical Navigation System.

For an example of how the same page is used to populate multiple locations, see the TACCO versions at:

For the equivalent SENSO versions see:

Please review these pages for format (not content, which can easily evolve over time), and provide comments below.

  • Reorganized Pages

The intent was that the descriptions would be standardized, so that both the Interactive Display pages and the Equipment pages used the same set, with the Equipment ones being amplified versions.

However, the way it was being done was creating extra effort: in order to find them, they needed more complex Titles, which meant the Titles couldn’t be used as part of the blocks.

The solution (I think) is to create a new Custom Post Type, which is heirarchical (a “Page”), grouped in “Interactive Display Items” There are three levels to this:

    • The top is the System (eg the “AIC-14 ICS”)
    • The middle is the Items (eg the “ICS Master Control”)
    • The bottom is the locations (for Items that are used more than once in the aircraft) (eg the “TACCO ICS Master Control”)

The Eqipment pages can then embed this content (“Systems” and “Items”), without Titles if required.

The Systems already have a final field in their Themes, which shows a link to the “Consists of” Items need to show a parent link and embed the Excerpt if it exists, and “Locations” if children exist. Locations need to show the parent link and Excerpt is it exists.

  • Update to AOI

As an update to the preview blog post, I finished Part 1 Sections 10 and 11. That means all of PArt 1 Sections 1, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 are done.

  • Requirements Management

For those with a login, we are managing high level requirements for the Interactive Display on this website as well.

For those with a admin login, it is here.
