CABLE ANGLE CONTROL Panel

The panel, marked “CABLE ANGLE CONTROL” (Figure 1-7-3), is located on the radio and navigation control panel. The CABLE ANGLE CONTROL panel allows the pilots to trim the cable angle being maintained by the coupler to compensate for drift of the helicopter over the sonar transducer.

The CABLE ANGLE CONTROL panel consists of two rotary knobs, one knob marked “ROLL DRIFT”, with marked directional arrows “LEFT” and “RIGHT”, and the other knob marked “PITCH DRIFT”, with marked directional arrows “AFT” and “FWD”. A green advisory light of the press-to-test type, marked “ENGAGED”, is located in the centre of the panel. For complete details refer to the control panel functions in Part 1, Section 7, paragraph 18.
