The system is a direction finder for UHF, OTPI, VHF/AM and VHF/FM. Twenty-eight VDC is supplied from the No.2 radio bus through two circuit-breakers marked “ARA-25A” and “UHF ANT”, both located on the radio circuit-breaker panel.

The system is controlled from the direction finder selector panel (Figure 1-11-15) located at the bottom right corner in the upper portion of the radio and navigation control panel.
