TACCO Bearing Distance Heading Indicator

The gyroscopic heading and attitudereference system provides an accurate, reliable, inertially stabilized heading and vertical reference for true and grid navigation and for helicopter yaw stabilization.

The BDHI indicates information as selected on the BDHI Control:

  • True Heading, Magnetic Heading, or Track (if ASN-501 installed) and the rotating card;
  • LF ADF, ASN-501 or ASN-123C Fly To Point, or UHF / VHF/AM / VHF/FM / OTPI ADF on the number 1 pointer;
  • TACAN or VOR on the number 2 pointer;
  • Fly To Point or TACAN range on the digit counter.
