Sonar Dome Control

The AQS-502 is a lightweight echo-ranging dipping sonar capable of detecting and classifying moving and stationary underwater objects. The sonar set will provide information concerning range, bearing and speed, at display ranges of up to 20,000 yards.

Allows the SENSO to lower and raise the sonar transducer by controlling the hydraulic winch, or raise via an auxiliary electric winch, and indicates the current depth using a sensor in the transducer. Also, indicates the Trail and Unseated positions, allows the transducer to be seated in the sonar well, and indicates Seated only when the “SEAT” button is depressed.
